We attended an event at the Paley Center in
Beverly Hills to commemorate 60 years of
I Love Lucy.
Desi and his sister, Lucie, were part of a
panel that talked about their father's
music and the musical show Babalu
that they have performed in NYC,
Miami and Washington DC.
After the panel they performed two
songs from their father's repertoire ~
Old Straw Hat and Cuban Pete.
Lucille Ball has been on TV Guide more than
any other celebrity and Desi was on the very
first cover of TV Guide. All of the covers were
enlarged and displayed on a wall at the Paley
Center. Here's a nice interview Desi & Lucie
did with TV Guide on Friday.
On Friday morning we had breakfast at our
favorite breakfast spot Il Fornaio. Always
so happy to be with my two favorite people
in the world ~ Desi & Haley.
Happy Wonderful Monday dear friends.
May the Spirit of Christmas fill your
hearts and home.
xoxo Amy

Guess what Mom? Haley is learning to sew! She's taking sewing & design classes and is SO happy. Desiree is traveling America for Tigi as one of their instructors. All good news Mom. Miss you...
Wish you would have lived longer so you could see your beautiful granddaughters all grown up.

So nice to see that the babies finally have a prominent name attached to their plight. Please click the link (above) to view a page from the orphanage and at the bottom of the page is a link to a wonderful video Kristin made at the orphanage.

Built in 1933 during the construction of Hoover Dam, the Hotel is the heartbeat of our town. It houses the Boulder Dam Museum, a variety of quaint shops and 28 guest rooms. Will Rogers, Shirley Temple and several Presidents have slept here. You'll love it too.

Hey Ms. Amy,
I was just catching up and Wow, 60 already??? Are you sure?! Gosh, thats crazy, and whats even crazier is how much the show is still loved. Ironically I found these two sweet bendable dolls of the Ricky and Lucy stick figures (like the ones in the original show openings), I thought it was a nice reminder of how amazing Mr. Arnaz's (Sr.) and Ms. Ball's legacy still is. I hope you are having a nice time in California, please send my regards to the whole family.
Much love and God bless,
Amanda :)

*Thank you Amanda* Yes! 60 years already. Thank goodness the show is still loved. I have never seen the bendable stick dolls but they sound cute. We are home from California and had a very nice time. Too many cars. Too many people. Too congested. But big fun! Los Angeles is a nice place to visit for a day or two. Hope you have a Merry Christmas. All the best from both of us. xoxo Amy

*Estela* Thank you for stopping by today. Since Desi lives on the west coast and Lucie lives on the east coast, they are not together very often. When they are together, it is fun, fun, fun. Sending you my best for a very Merry Christmas. xoxo Amy

Hi Amy!... my computer has been down for two days while we got a new modem and upgraded speed, so this is the first chance I have had to visit you!... loved this post and I read and re~read the interview they just did... fabulous!... many tears running down my face right now... what I love the very most is the obvious love you all have for not only Lucy and Desi Sr, but all of your family... nothing is more important than that in life... and I also love that you and Desi are real... down to earth, so kind and sincere in everything you do... long before I met you Amy, I of course loved Lucy and Desi... and now I love you and your family as well... I had alot of favorite songs from the shows... a cute one was when Desi sang "Texas Pete"... and of course Babalu!... loved sharing special memories today... xoxo Julie Marie

Hi Amy,
That event sounded like fun. I miss I Love Lucy on the Hallmark Channel. It was on here early in the mornings. The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy were great shows, too. Not much to watch in the way of entertainment these days! That was a good interview.

*Hi Allen* Thanks for your nice comment. I agree with you in that there is not much to watch in the way of entertainment these days. We always end up on TCM watching old black white shows. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Sending my best wishes all the way to Arkansas! ~ Amy

Hi Amy, I wanted to wish your beautiful Haley a Happy Birthday, but there were no comments there, so, Happy Birthday Haley, I hope all your birthday wishes come true! And Amy, your Christmas kitties are just adorable!... Merry Christmas to all of you, with love, xoxo Julie Marie

I always remember watching Lucy as I was growing up. Gosh, she was so funny. I always liked the episode where she was at a factory making candy.
I wanted to thank you for the nice comment you left on my blog about my new kitties and the one that I recently lost too...it was sweet of you. Hope you have a Merry Christmas :)

May you have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed new year. Best wishes to you and yours. Merry Christmas.
Hard for me to believe Christmas is Sunday. Time gets away from me.
'I Love Lucy' will never be beat. Always enjoy watching the shows. They're wonderful.
