Sending our Thanks to the High Heavens for
12 years with our most beautiful big boy
Mr. Bubbles who died a peaceful death
Tuesday night.
Being only 12 years old, we were surprised
that he was the one to go being much younger
than our other cats.
Guarding his family, minding his own
business, giving Love and lapping up
whipped cream! He had a good life.
What a pleasure it was to know you
Mr. Beautiful. Kisses, love and mostly
thanks for giving us the privilege
of being your humans.
Love from...
Amy, Desi & Haley
and your kitty family...
Margo, Baby, Angel & Miss Daisy

Guess what Mom? Haley is learning to sew! She's taking sewing & design classes and is SO happy. Desiree is traveling America for Tigi as one of their instructors. All good news Mom. Miss you...
Wish you would have lived longer so you could see your beautiful granddaughters all grown up.

So nice to see that the babies finally have a prominent name attached to their plight. Please click the link (above) to view a page from the orphanage and at the bottom of the page is a link to a wonderful video Kristin made at the orphanage.

Goodbye for now sweet Mr. Bubbles... I know I will meet you one day, as I truly believe ALL of God's creatures go to Heaven, and will be there when we get there too... you are a beautiful kitty and I know how much love you gave to your human family, (and to all of the other kitties) and how much love you received in return... I love you sweet kitty... xoxo Julie Marie

Hi Amy,
Really sorry to hear about your kitty but good to know that he is no longer in pain and at peace. Some say that cats are not capable of love but I don't believe it. I remember a time not too long ago when I had a bad heart break and my big orange tabby, Henry, let me cry all over him and never complained or acted like it was a big deal...
Take Care,
Liza in Kansas City

HI AMY,
So sorry about your precious Cat, I know they really do become like part of the family and 12 years is a few years short of mos cats. MY Mom's big cat is nearly 12, it will KILL her if something happens to her baby. She has 2 but LOVES her "TOBY". May you find peace knowing that he indeed had the best life ever!!!
hugs my dear friend,
jamie

*Thank you Julie Marie* I hope this does not sound bratty, but animals are nicer than some humans I know! And the animals surely deserve a free pass straight to Heaven. With that in mind, Mr. Bubbles must be there. Hope so! xoxo Amy

*Hello Jamie* I hesitated to even write about my sweet cat but after a few days I had a craving for a little sympathy and I knew my blog girlfriends would come through. So thank you for your sweet message. Your poor mom will cry her eyes out when Toby goes. Hugs back to you! xoxo Amy

*Oh Liza!* You stopped by again ~ thank you! Just when I need sympathy too. I DO believe cats are capable of love. And I think they absorb emotions from us and make us feel better ~ just like big orange Henry did for you. They certainly make people happy in old folks home and give these old souls unconditional love while they purr on their laps. Hope you recovered from your broken heart.... xoxo Amy

Hi Amy, Sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved Mr. Bubbles...My cat "Buddy" is declining in health, and I'm sadly facing the passing of a friend and companion for the last 15 years. He has given me much for so long... Thanks for the kind comments on my blog, and on my sister Mary's blog, "50 At the New Year" - I always enjoy knowing that you are "peeking in". A Happy New Year to you and Desi from Deborah and I! Jon

Oh Amy, I am so sorry to hear about Mr.Bubbles. Animals become such an intregal part of a family and I know Mr.Bubbles will be missed terribly. Hoping your New Year will bring comfort and joy to you and yours!

Amy,
It always hurts deeply when you lose a beloved pet. I'm sorry that you all have lost your Mr. Bubbles. I agree with you in that animals are nicer than some humans! :) That is sad, but true. That was clever and very sweet what you said at the end of your post about being Mr. Bubbles' humans. Cats have us trained when they come into our lives. With nine of them in and out of the house it is sometimes like a 3-ring circus around here!

*Hi Jon* We have been discussing our attachment to our animals knowing that we will witness each of their deaths. Heartbreaking but good inner-Work. Buddy will go too and you will feel just like we do. Hope to see you Deb very soon! Thank you for stopping by my ballerina blog today. I liked the blog your sister writes. ~ Amy

*Kathleen* Just yesterday my husband mentioned Mr. Bubbles in a sentence as if he were still here. Thank you for your wishes for comfort and joy! THAT is what we want and I wish the same for you. Happy 2012. xoxo Amy

*Allen!!!* You have 9 cats? I love that! It must be a 3-ring circus and most enjoyable too. Where we live there is a code saying a household is only allowed 3 pets. We have violated that for years with our love for our pets surpassing our fear of getting found out. Our little town has very antiquated and stingy codes regarding personal pets and ferals. If you lived here you would always be a little on edge, just like we are. God bless you for taking care of those kitties. Wish more people would do that. Happy 2012. ~Amy

Beautiful Mr. Bubbles will be greatly missed. He is now in kitty heaven with my Simon, doing everything that makes him purr! Xoxo

More love and sympathy to you and Desi, Haley, Jelly and all of your other kitties who love and are already missing Mr. Bubbles... and Amy, I know exactly what you mean about animals being nicer than alot of people... they love without expecting anything in return and give so much of themselves so freely... take your time to grieve... there is nothing wrong with that... and cry... cry until you can cry no more... then one day, the cloud will lift some, and you will smile as you speak of your beloved kitty... xoxo... Julie Marie... And what a beautiful gift from Sally...

*Thanks Lesley* One less kitty for you to feed when I am out of town! (Sniff) xoxo Amy

*Thanks for stopping back, Julie Marie* I smile when I talk about my old dog, Sammy, who died about 6 years ago. It has taken that long! So there is hope for me. Bubbles and Desi were practically the same being so he is taking this pretty hard. Gosh, people are dying, mothers are losing their sons in the war, grief is everywhere and here I am blubbering about my CAT! And yes, my gift from Sally is a treasure. xoxo Amy

Amy,
In case some of your blog followers don't share your sentiments about having 9 cats....they are well-fed and loved critters. They were all born here except for two who were adopted :) because they insisted on moving in and really needed a home. One was in a pitiful condition. There are two rules in this household. Kitties must not be able to reproduce anymore and they do not have "indoor plumbing", unless it is raining really hard and provisions are made on a side patio. I am not aware of any regulations here about the number of animals one may have. It would probably not be enforced, anyway. I understand that up in the State of Indiana, households are only allowed 2 pets. That is not fair.

Dear Miss Amy - My heart is heavy for you and your family with the loss of your beloved cat. As you know I have my wonderful buddy Alex - who adopted me a long time ago and the wonderful next door neighbor kitties. I love them all!!

*Hi Julene* Yes... I do know your buddy Alex. A very lucky happy cat. Thank you for your sweet words. Like you, I love them all. xoxo Amy

*Hi Allen* There are cat people and non cat people and thank goodness you are a CAT PERSON! Those lucky critters. We have two cat haters across the alley from us and I always tell my kitties not to go across the alley. I think the rules made by various cities are made as a result of complainers. A small minority that gripes complains until they get their way and thereby impose unnecessary regulations on the rest of us who are trying to help. Stepping off the soap box. Amy

Amy, Thinking about you concerning the death of your sweet pet. Sometimes with time we don't heal, it takes a touch from God, so I pray that God will comfort you and all that miss Mr. Bubbles.
May you have only good memories of Mr. Bubbles,
