  • Orphaned Baby Elephants
So nice to see that the babies finally have a prominent name attached to their plight. Please click the link (above) to view a page from the orphanage and at the bottom of the page is a link to a wonderful video Kristin made at the orphanage.

Watercolors from the Nursery

  • Each month I receive a lovely watercolor depicting a scene from the nursery. We have printed many of them out and placed them in frames to decorate our home.

  • Sammy loved kittens, tutus & ballerinas. But mostly he loved us. He died a peaceful death as an old man and left us with broken hearts.

Our Old Man

  • Baby Bear died a peaceful death just before Christmas 2009. He was almost 17. Bear was a warrior. A brilliant feline. A blessing to our lives.

*Julie Marie* I will tell Jelly about the doggie kisses from Tess HOWEVER he flirted like crazy with that other woman Mimi while we were away. He is very popular. Hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday. xoxo Amy

Amy Arnaz

*Thank you Allen* It was a perfectly beautiful Easter Sunday. Blessings to you and your family. Amy

Hello Amy!
By the sea!!!!! Awesome and so peaceful. There's just something so special about the sea and the sound it makes while it laps up to the shore that brings a peace on those gentle days.

I've only been to the ocean a few times in my life, but I remember that feeling of contentment on the beach.

Know that you had a blessed Easter!!!
God bless you each and every day!

Amy Arnaz

*Thank you Deanna* Nothing beats a long nap by the sea. The sound the sea makes whilst lapping on the shore, as you said, is so peaceful. Thank you for the Easter blessing. All is well. xoxo Amy

Your Sunset pic and of course your sweet dog with the SEA in the background are so spectacular. There is something so magical about sitting by the Sea and watching the Sun set.
What a great place to be at Easter.
So much to reflect on for sure
hugs 2 U,

Beautiful memories of the seaside. It's nice to include your pets (family) on vacation. Your little dog looks like he enjoyed it as much as the rest of the family. I've been disabled and haven't been able to do the things I used to, and I love reading your blog of nice things to do. God Bless.

Amy Arnaz

*Thank you MaryAnn* One time I did not take Jelly on vacation with us and I actually missed the little guy! When he sees the suitcases come out he seems to worry until I place his pet carrier next to the suitcases. Then he knows he is included in the trip and jumps into his pet carrier and waits. He is a perfect traveling companion. Thank you for visiting and enjoying my blog. That put a smile on my face. Take care. Amy

This looks like an
amazing holiday....
So peaceful.
I wanted to comment
on your Peter Pan
post, but there was
no comment button,
at least on my screen,
so will just say here,
well done! What hard
workers and what love
their parents have to
be such good shepherds.

Hello Amy, Just wanted to say hello and thank you for the lovely continued've become a favorite "place" to visit every few days along with other special blogs I've found through your links. With so much turmoil it is so nice to have special places to go and enjoy the music, pictures and life in general. Don't know if you remember but I'm the one with a son in Afghanistan and would very much appreciate your prayers for my son Josiah as he fights for our freedom. He is a strong Christian but it gets hard for them being so far away from family and knowing each time they leave their base (he is in Bagram) their lives are in grave danger. anyways thanks for making my day a little more enjoyable. Helen Moore from Nottingham, PA. btw I'd love to visit your neck of the woods someday I'm a transplanted Texan up north!

Looked like a peaceful vacation the picture of you on the left sidebar!! Hope your Easter was lovely and hope its not getting to HOT there yet!! Hugs, Linda

Good Morning Helen~
Thank you for the sweet things you said in your post. It makes me feel good that you enjoy visiting my blog. And yes! I certainly DO remember you telling me about your son being in Afghanistan. God bless him. I would love to be a little bird and overhear the conversations our soldiers have had since the news of Bin Ladin's death broke. I love and appreciate our soldiers.
Our neck of the woods is very nice in May. Perfect weather in fact. But very soon the unbearable heat sets in and along with the 20 year drought we have suffered through, it is extremely unpleasant here June-September. October is still very hot, but bearable. There is an attempt to force everyone to tear out their grass and plant desert landscaping which, in my opinion, draws more heat. You are fortunate to live in a cooler, greener, KINDER environment.
Again, thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your visits.
xoxo Amy
