  • Orphaned Baby Elephants
So nice to see that the babies finally have a prominent name attached to their plight. Please click the link (above) to view a page from the orphanage and at the bottom of the page is a link to a wonderful video Kristin made at the orphanage.

From Dame Daphne Sheldrick:

Watercolors from the Nursery

  • Each month I receive a lovely watercolor depicting a scene from the nursery. We have printed many of them out and placed them in frames to decorate our home.

  • Sammy loved kittens, tutus & ballerinas. But mostly he loved us. He died a peaceful death as an old man and left us with broken hearts.

Our Old Man

  • Baby Bear died a peaceful death just before Christmas 2009. He was almost 17. Bear was a warrior. A brilliant feline. A blessing to our lives.

Julie Marie Vicknair

Hi Amy... that sounds fantastic! When I was sorting through my "lost treasures" in my basement the other day, I found my very first cookbook I got when I was just ten years old! I would have loved a show like the Magic Kidchen to watch! And how fun you and Desi are doing the voices... so sorry you lost out as "Sudsy"... I am sure you were the best Sudsy, and just remember, you were the ORIGINAL Sudsy! Good luck to Heather and you on the show being picked up... love to you... xoxo Julie Marie

Amy Arnaz

Thanks Julie Marie~
I have done a lot of "voice work" and it is fun to do, however, my voice variations are limited. Desi on the other hand is master at voices because of the acting roles he's done. As the stove he talks like Jimmy Durante and as the knife he talks like a New Yorker. There will be a YouTube short available soon and I'll post the link so you can see it. xoxo Amy

Oh Amy how adorable this show sounds! It's like Rachel Ray for kids! LOL! I would even watch it myself! I hope that it takes off and is a BIG success! xoxo Robin

My Spotlight Guy

Long skirts

  • "I’m very fond of men. I think they are wonderful creatures. I love them dearly. But I don’t want to look like one. When women gave up their long skirts, they made a grave error…" ~Tasha Tudor

My little mother Libby

  • Hi Mom! I hope you have somehow figured out how to read my blog. I have a new, bionic knee that should last till I'm 80. Wish you were here so we could share everything with you. Miss you lots.... Wish you would have lived longer so you could see your beautiful granddaughters all grown up.
