  • Orphaned Baby Elephants
So nice to see that the babies finally have a prominent name attached to their plight. Please click the link (above) to view a page from the orphanage and at the bottom of the page is a link to a wonderful video Kristin made at the orphanage.

Watercolors from the Nursery

  • Each month I receive a lovely watercolor depicting a scene from the nursery. We have printed many of them out and placed them in frames to decorate our home.

  • Sammy loved kittens, tutus & ballerinas. But mostly he loved us. He died a peaceful death as an old man and left us with broken hearts.

Our Old Man

  • Baby Bear died a peaceful death just before Christmas 2009. He was almost 17. Bear was a warrior. A brilliant feline. A blessing to our lives.

Hello Amy... what a great time you must have had! Who doesn't love Babalu! I clicked on New York on your sidebar and looked at all the photos... how fun! I adore Latin music...and even thought I love ALL of the I Love Lucy's, I especially love the ones where Ricky (Desi) sang at the Tropicana! Love to you... xoxo Julie Marie

Donna Nelson

What an awesome time I know you had. We are going to try to go see Jersey Boys the next time we come to Boulder City. We have seen Love twice and would probably see it 20 more times, but my parents saw Jersey Boys and loved it.

I really like your pictures, especially the last one with Desi Sr. in the background. I can just see the episode it was from. Great music!

Also, could you email me the Birds on a Wire picture? I want to make something with it for you.

P.S. I know I have told you....but I really love my quilts. If you need me to do a PSA for you I will.....LOL!

Amy Arnaz

Thanks Julie Marie ~
The music was the best. And Desi was beautiful.

Amy Arnaz

Hi Donna,
I've also seen LOVE and like you, I could see it again. But be sure you see The Jersey Boys next time you're out this way. Just the way they use the set is something I've never seen not to mention the superb music. OK! I'll e-mail the birds-on-the-wire photo to you as soon as I post this. And yes! You did tell me how much you love your quilts. That makes me happy. xoxo Amy

Amy~The photos of New York are great! Looks like babalu was a huge success! so glad you are home safe & sound though & enjoyed "jersey boys!" xo

Amy, I had such a good time with you in NYC, at the theatre, those late night dinners, fun in the hotel -- I only wish it had lasted longer! Can't wait to see you again soon..... xoxoxoxo Elisabeth P.S I love The Jersey Boys, too -- what a show!

Amy Arnaz

Because of those late night dinners I'm forced to exercise with more vigor and take longer walks! After all, maintaining this perfect body takes work ~ ha! If the trip had lasted any longer I'd still be frozen. I just unthawed. Love you, Amy

My little mother Libby

  • Hi Mom! I hope you have somehow figured out how to read my blog. I have a new, bionic knee that should last till I'm 80. Wish you were here so we could share everything with you. Miss you lots.... Wish you would have lived longer so you could see your beautiful granddaughters all grown up.
